Wii U will not be compatible with GameCube discs, the new Nintendo console will support all games and accessories for the Wii, but will not have any compatibility with the Nintendo old console.
Don't despair though, Nintendo already has a solution ready because GameCube games will be available on Wii U and can then be purchased and used freely.
A solution predictable sincerely, it remains to be seen what they think about the players in possession of dozens of original titles for the GameCube, because in this case, to use the games on Wii U you'll need to put hand to the wallet.
