Saints Row The Third

Saints Row The Third, third installment of the casinara series Volition, exploded images during the Comic-Con this year. Games using holograms?

Apparently Rare decided to commit itself on predictions of what will be the evolution of the game in a few years.

Scott Henson (boss of Rare) stated bluntly that the future of videogames are holograms.

You already have figured out just fine…. holograms, which until a few years ago seems to be a mere utopia and that still has not been properly developed as technology.

Henson foresee an increasing amount of sensors and each type of sensor with a specific task, of course, each different from the others, so to perfectly recreate ourselves in 3D version in the form of a hologram.

According to Rare Kinect for Xbox360 is only the first step in what will be the real evolution even though at the same time admits that it will take several years before to get there, but it certainly will.

Play and see myself in holographic form? Uhm... at this point I go to the mirror and I look stupid doing that.

According to you a hologram-based game (and don't plan to have the entire room turn into a hologram, but only few items and yourself) would be handy? It would be nice? It would be useful?

Review: Level Up

Level Up is a graphic novel brief, simple and direct. No frills but, probably, from big claims. The ha Gene Yang skit, with art by Thien Pham, two Chinese-American who have understood really well what they mean video games to millions of people around the world. It is the story of a boy Dennis,Ouyang, oppressed by the ambitions that he have his parents: become a great doctor, specifically a gastroenterologist. But Dennis has one thing on its head: video gamesthe. Video games that are "wasting time" in everyday life; tempo rubato study course, and then to the realization of the dream of his father.

As I read Level Up I thought to myself and not only, but also to many people I know. At first I believed that parents of Dennis did all wrongs and I grew up on bread and pixels, I found myself quite a lot in the story. Throughout my life I tried to extend my youth in all ways, the video gamesthanks. If I think of my father, I don't think he's now at my age, had never had even one minute to play with himself and with a television. The weather was already very limited to play with his son or to be with his family.

Our days have changed all to charity and it is obvious that some injury on video games should be demolished to truth. However, true that often remains for many of us (look inside and not try to lie to yourself) videogames are a way to not face the reality and aspirations/expectations that others place in us. "Now I dedicate a little time in front of the console, then I start to study". How many times I've said, how many times I did it. And to graduate there I put 3 years longer than necessary, if we want to watch the hair, are not evil

The juice but does not change: what we find in video games there is outside. The challenges that our brains are calibrated, difficult and entertaining, not those of everyday life, boring and often depressing. Play video games in a sense we hurt, we cannot deny it, us away from what then others call it "success" in real life.

The beauty of this comic, in fact, it is just a description of how even with video games you i can have that famous "success" in life to which all aspire. Unfortunately, I add, not in this country. GTA V will use MotionScan?

If Rockstar has amazed with its innovative MotionScan we got to see in L.A. Noire because it seems that the same technology will be used also for GTA V!!!

One of the founders of team bondri, Brendan McNamara, issued the following statement:

Yes, I think they are considering for each title. However, as L.A. Noire is a large game, GTA is incredibly huge, so you have all the problems related to the number of cast members and the number of beats that should be recorded.

Obviously we'd love if they do, and they are more than welcome to use the MotionScan, but if they decide that it is not right for GTA and wish to use it in another game, that's fine too.

I would say that, being a system that Rockstar has always praised surely will be used although - I hope - the peculiarity of this system is also improved and extended to the whole body and not only to the face!

Halo 4 new details

All eagerly awaiting more details on the new Halo 4, the game of the century,

It will be officialy presented at the upcoming Pax Prime. It is a very important event for the world of video games and it's scheduled for 26-28 August in Seattle.

Resistance 3 to Beta

Here the confirmation many fans were expecting: Resistance 3 will have a beta version of multiplayer and will be available in the first week of August.

Developers have also announced that they will integrate two game modes: Team DeathMacht and Chain Reaction.
The beta of Resistance 3 will be available officially in America only for buyers of SOCOM. In Europe, will be available only for subscribers of Playstation Plus.

Finally the official version, in Standard version and Survivor Editon will be available at September 7.

GamesCom 2011, dates and times of conferences

Sony officially announced that held its press conference for the GamesCom 2011 in Cologne on the day 16 August at 19 hours. The event will last an hour and will unveil the latest news on world of PlayStation.

Deep Silver takes Catherine to Europe

Deep Silver has announced that it will market Europe with Catherine, the controversial action-RPG from Atlus made by the authors of the saga of Person on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Review: Call Of Juarez Cartel

The Call Of Juarez Cartel is available on Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

I wasn't particularly impressed and, to say the truth, The Cartel has virtually nothing to do with Call Of Juarez.

The Cartel is a real disappointment. The game is based on the 5th evolution of Chrome Engine (engine owner of Techland), it is not clear however how come graphically the new Call Of Juarez is worse than Bound in Blood, prequel released in 2009. Settings are made in a monotone, rough, and even the characters are complex without appeal.

There are slowdowns, and the situation is not getting better, unfortunately, The Call Of Juarez Cartel sound is rather dull and the music is little inspired, while effects are downright bland.

As mentioned, The Cartel has nothing to do with Call Of Juarez. The western setting has been replaced with a metropolis on the brink of collapse, instead of brothers Ray and Thomas, in their place I find Kimberly, Eddie and Benjamin McCall, heir to the dynasty.

As for the gameplay, absolutely not, the single player campaign is really poor and the story could be much better.

Don't expect miracles, it's an enjoyable adventure, but nothing more. The plot lacks bite and the game is rather dull, after two or three matches you are likely to drop the game not to use it ever again.

The monitoring system works fine and is well balanced, in line with the scheme used by other titles. The Dual Shock 3 controller is unfortunately not the most suitable for FPS, this is known, in this case, however, the designers of Techland have done a good job.

Unfortunately, The Call Of Juarez Cartel disappointed me on many aspects, technically outdated, with a plot and gameplay inaccurate, The Cartel just fails to convince. It might have been better to keep the western setting, avoiding upsetting so much the nature of the game.

LittleBigPlanet was supposed to be a free-to-play

Media Molecule reveals some interesting information on the development of LittleBigPlanet, the famous platform exclusive PlayStation 3 finished second and probably last episode, at least by the original developer has announced that he would take on the other.

GameCube games will be available on Wii U

Wii U will not be compatible with GameCube discs, the new Nintendo console will support all games and accessories for the Wii, but will not have any compatibility with the Nintendo old console.

Don't despair though, Nintendo already has a solution ready because GameCube games will be available on Wii U and can then be purchased and used freely.

Activision Guitar Hero wants to resurrect

Lollipop Chainsaw by Suda51

Suda51 never stops, the ingenious designer has recently published Shadow Of The Damned (in collaboration with Shinji Mikami) and now announces its new game, Lollipop Chainsaw, survival horror with sexy background coming in 2012.

Lollipop Chainsaw is essentially a mixture of Dead Rising and Bayonetta, the protagonist of the game is Juliet, a schoolgirl heir of a dynasty of zombie hunters. In the game is working Akira Yamaoka (famous for the music of Silent Hill) and Masahiro Shidara, creator of Fatal Frame/Project Zero.

The game is designed with a very appealing graphic style, Furthermore, Suda said that in Lollipop Chainsaw there will be no blood, the plasma will be replaced by a beam of pink light that gives the game a strong pop touch.

Lollipop Chainsaw has no official release date, most likely the game will be released in 2012, only on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3,

God of War Master Collection on PS3

The German division of Amazon has set a price list for God of War Master Collection, with output scheduled for 16 September, obviously only on PlayStation 3. It is a package containing all five episodes of God Of War issued until now: God Of War, God Of War 2, God Of War 3, God Of War Chains Of Olympus, and God Of War Ghost Of Sparta.

Sony has not yet announced this collection, the strange thing is that the package was released the same day as God Of War Origins, actually is quite a mystery.

We have to wait for the official confirmation, we hope that, in addition to games, the God of War Master Collection contains also additional content such as posters, artbook and other gadgets.

Namco seek new horizons with Enslaved

Silent Hill HD Collection

At Comic-Con in San Diego Konami showed the audience a Silent Hill demo HD Collection, title already presented at the E3 in Los Angeles. This is a package that contains the main episodes of the series remastered with high definition graphics.

Silent Hill Collection will be released in HD November exclusively on the PlayStation 3, Konami has confirmed that the Xbox 360 version is not planned.

NBA 2K12, covers with three legends

NBA 2K12 will arrive in stores with three different covers, dedicated to the legends of basketball stars and stripes. The covers are dedicated to Larry Bird (Boston Celtics), Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls) and Magic Johnson (Los Angeles Lakers), three myths known throughout the world.

Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 due in November

Was in the air, now it's official, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 really exist and from November will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This new version of the game is adding 12 new characters, six for the Marvel Universe and other taken from Capcom games.

Specifically, the new characters of Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Strider are: Firebrand, Vergil, Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Nemesis, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Hawkeye and Iron Fist

The game will be sold at a price budget, as happened with Super Street Fighter 4. The release is planned for November, though it still lacks a precise date.
